We are a not-for-profit educational organization based in Houghton, New York. Since our establishment in 1995 we have been providing enabling assistance at the grass-roots level to Russian educational organizations that are equipping youth intellectually and ethically to become constructive citizens of a democratic Russia.
The mission of Partners with Russia is to promote partnerships with Russian organizations committed to the economic, social, and spiritual renewal of Russia. We have been fortunate to be able to collaborate with several Russian organizations that are actively involved in preparing Russian young people academically and morally for life in a new Russia. In 1997 we established a partner relationship with one of these organizations, the Sodruzhestvo Center in Ryazan, Russia.
As the name suggests, Partners with Russia comes along side such groups as the Center – groups that are actively laying the foundations for the new Russia – to give encouragement and assistance in achieving their goals. Our goal is to provide assistance that enables such organizations to survive these present difficult times without replacing old dependencies with new ones. We measure our success by the growth and development of our partners into organizations capable of sustaining themselves while serving as agents for renewal within their communities.
